For ten years Michael Richardson Fine Art
has been organising painting holidays for groups up to 40 artists on a
non-tutored basis mainly for professional or serious amateur plein air
painters. Transport is normally by modern air-conditioned motor coach
with assembly at or near one of the UK channel ports for the crossing
to Europe. The events are run by Kate Borg as the tour manager who has
fifteen years experience as a courier and tour guide.
Past venues include Amsterdam, Paris, Honfleur, Dinan, Brugges, Fecamp Saumur and St Valery-sur-Somme and the Ile de Re.

Holidays in 2010
Dinan June 11th-17th. Cold at times for the time of year but overall everyone had a great time. A brand new Volvo motor coach was put into commission for the trip by Carol Peters with reclining aircraft style seats and climate control. The informal exhibition at the end of the week contained over three hundred paintings by twenty-five artists and the quality was of an astonishingly high standard. Subjects included landscapes of the River Rance and surrounding countryside as well as more intimate scenes of cafes, city squares, promenades, fishermen's stalls, lighthouses. There were even a few portraits, one of which was voted "painting of the show".
