 "Poppies, Poppies"
This dense population of poppies appeared this year in the village of Acol in the Isle of Thanet. Strangely there had been almost none the year before which appears to lay to rest the theory that they inhabit old battlefields, thriving on the iron rich soil. With the scent and the buzzing of insects it is an intense experience to spend a couple of hours in a field like this on a humid June afternoon!
